"Joy, Peace, and Confident Hope" "Joy, Peace, and Confident Hope"
Paul is coming to the end of his letter and encourages us to accept one another in unity, just as Christ accepted us. Paul says Christ came that we Gentiles might give glory to God for his mercies. He recalls several scriptures that said this would happen. Finally, Paul wraps up the bulk of his teaching with these encouraging words:
“I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.”
